About JP
Meet JP Warren
JP Warren has spent 20+ years in the energy industry, and now spends his time helping the people in it communicate better — and connecting them with each other. He's a CTA-certified coach, keynote speaker, podcast host, and author who built Connection Crüe to bring the same soft-skills training he wished he'd had earlier in his own career to teams, interns, and leaders across the industry.
At his core, JP is a connector — someone who brings the right people together and helps them find clarity in how they talk to each other, their customers, and their teams.
He's spoken at SPE, AADE, IADC, IADD, and ICoTA events, guest lectured at Texas A&M, University of Houston, Colorado School of Mines, Oklahoma University, and Prairie View A&M, and led workshops for energy companies from Diamondback Energy to Detechtion. He also wrote Energy for Everyone, a children's book introducing the next generation to the industry — with his wife, Monika.
Outside of training rooms, JP hosts the Lead with Confidence Podcast, leads Exec Crüe (a faith-integrated leadership community for men), and founded Crue Club, a private roundtable network for energy operators.
What I Do
Training, coaching, and hands-on strategy work
Whether it's a half-day seminar, a recurring intern workshop, or an ongoing engagement embedded with a leadership team, the goal is the same: give people and companies tools they can use in their very next conversation. Beyond workshops, JP works directly with companies on messaging, communication strategy, and go-to-market approach — currently partnering with Techvora on strategy and positioning, having worked with DRAAS Command on messaging and internal communication, and with Liberty Drilling Services on marketing, messaging, and strategy.
